Brian Ryan Class of 1979 RIP

From Class 1979, Limerick man Brian passed away suddenly 5th October 2023 on cycling holiday near Bordeaux in company of his wife Anna, brother Donal (Dan) and sister-in-law. Originally from Ballysheedy, Brian was a well-known and highly respected vet in Limerick and senior partner in Mulcair Vets based in Cappamore. In France to take in few games at the Rugby World Cup while enjoying a cycling holiday, his passing has come as a huge shock to his family and friends.

Brian was a veterinary professional and great mentor to many young vets starting off in practice. He was interested in the farmers experience and knowledge of husbandry and gave of his time generously and was extremely popular in the locality. He also had a great interest in sport including Golf, GAA and Rugby and was a passionate follower of Munster rugby. Brian , together with his 3 brothers Mike (Class 1975), Donal (Dan) (Class 1977) and Noel (1982) who all attended Rockwell College, graduated from University College Dublin in 1984 and worked for 6 years in Wales before returning to Cappamore. Rockwell College Union express our sincere sympathies to his wife Anna, his children Aoife, Kevin and Ciaran, his brothers Mike, Donal and Noel and his extended family.
